    What we do
At Sutter Heart & Vascular Institute, we help people of all ages deal with mild to life-threatening heart conditions. For over 50 years the physicians at Sutter Heart and Vascular Institute have developed breakthrough treatments that have become gold standard for cardiac procedures. Our advanced diagnostic testing and treatment capabilities are among the finest, but they're only part of the comprehensive care we provide. We also offer informative classes, support groups, special events and exercise programs that make our patients part of one of the most capable care teams you'll find anywhere.

    Lifesaving Procedures with Great Outcomes
Recognized for performing landmark surgical procedures, including the first successful open heart surgery in the Sacramento area, first pediatric open heart surgery, and Sacramento's first successful heart transplant, our surgeons continue to set procedural precedence and our outcomes prove it. We perform the highest quality surgery using the most advanced technology. Our surgical results are excellent, surpassing state and national averages. See our surgical outcomes for yourself.
